We truly are in the golden age of gaming. Between PCs, consoles, handheld devices and smartphones, there are more ways than ever to play! But if you want the latest and greatest AAA titles, you only have two options – consoles or PCs. We’re all big fans of consoles of course, with popular games like God of War, Red Dead Redemption and Spiderman being some of our favorites. But it should not come as a surprise that we’re pretty big into PCs also. Games like Kings Quest, Zork and Monkey Island will make you never turn back to console gaming. We understand that several console fans out there enjoy multiple gaming platforms. But when you want the best all-round gaming experience, we’re convinced its PCs that has it all!
Keyboard and mouse control
Using a keyboard for gaming can be a challenge at first, especially when gaming in comparison with a game controller. But once you get used to it, it becomes clear just how much better it can be. For games that require a lot of actions per minute like real-time strategy games, having access to all those keys at once isn’t just more convenient but ensures you play well too.
Even more useful for gaming is a mouse. Dual-sticks controller is fine for most games, but they don’t hold to the accuracy or quick movement of a mouse. There’s a reason why all competitive first-person shooters are best played with a keyboard and mouse because it is the most precise way to play. Especially, when it comes to first-person shooters announcing keyboard combos is unbeatable. But not everyone cares for precision or high-level play and we get that. But here is the thing, you can use a controller for a PC too!
Special mention here for the Logitech Hero G502 top rated gaming mouse. It has an amazing ergonomic design that is great for anyone. It sits perfectly in the hand and fits perfectly. Speaking of cutting-edge, let’s talk displays. While consoles are finally getting to the point where they can output 4K, PCs have been in this space for years now, thanks to high-end GPUs. Beyond resolution, you’re also looking at superior frame rates – 60 frames per second or higher. So, that means its comparatively smoother gameplay. With a PC, there’s a ton of other resolutions for you to choose from. PC monitors have specialized options like curved displays and huge solutions for resolutions and aspect ratios.
If that isn’t enough, there are additional display types like V-Sync and G-Sync, which improves your gaming experience. The refresh rate is also more than 144 Hz, which means smoother game play. So, PC games look and play significantly better than on their console counterparts, especially on a monitor designed for gaming.
But, maybe you’re happy with using a game controller and playing games on your TV and not interested in investing in a high-end gaming display. The good news is that it’s super easy to connect your PC to your living room TV. Modern PCs come in all shapes and sizes. Small form factor gaming machines are roughly the size of modern consoles. Plug one of these tiny machines to your living room TV, pick up a controller of your choice and you get the same experience you’ll get with a console, only better in just about every way! Try using this powerful multiport adapter splitter to connect your wired gaming accessories to your PC. Not only will your games look nicer and play better due to the power of superior gaming hardware, but you’ll also be able to use your PC for everything else – email, movies and more – all from the comfort of your living room couch.
So, pretty much everything a console can do, a PC can do, only better.
